Anderson House Hotel, Wabasha

This is your opportunity to own the oldest hotel in Minnesota. This unique 23-room historic hotel boasts modern amenities with all the decor you would have found in the 1850s when the hotel was built including period furniture.

The Anderson House Hotel was built in 1856 by B.F. Hurd and was originally known as the Hurd House. In 1887, a third story and west wing were added to the hotel by Hurd’s son-in-law. In 1909, the Anderson family purchased the hotel and renamed it the Anderson Hotel. The hotel was known for Dutch cooking in the restaurant and was famous for cats which hotel guests could stay with for overnight companionship. Today, the property is on the National Register of Historic Places as the Hurd House-Anderson Hotel and has been fully renovated and updated.

Additionally, adjacent to the hotel is the original carriage house which has been renovated with a fully equipped kitchen, furnished living room, dining room, and two bedrooms. This property is ideal for an onsite caretaker or an additional rental property.
